Rawly Bold was created for women by women. More than just an online boutique, Rawly Bold is teaching girls that it’s time to stand up and be the Boss. In response to the inequality and dysfunction happening in our world today, founder and CEO Pamela Delgado sought to create a space that will inspire, motivate, and empower its community.
Here’s a little bit of Pamela’s story from her own journey that motivated her to start Rawly Bold,
“Like so many, I'm sure you're wondering why I decided to start this business? I like others have dealt with pay inequality. Two years ago I found out there were a few coworkers who were making up to $30k more for the same type of work annually than I was. I am a mother of two little boys so, you can imagine how important that $30k is to me. I decided to have conversations with my higher ups. The first conversation was before I was expecting baby number two. The second conversation was while I was pregnant and the last conversation was when I returned from maternity leave and learned my entire first check post leave was garnished to pay back my medical insurance. Livid doesn't even describe how I felt. I was told NO all three discussions with excuses that till this day do not validate their decision. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had nothing to lose”.
Pamela’s experiences of bias and inequality has driven her to take a stand on life and what she makes of it. Her story has led her to creating clothing that will affirm and remind its wearers of their limitless potential.
All Rawly Bold goods are ethically manufactured in certified Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) factories. WRAP is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting fair and quality working conditions for factory laborers. CELEBRATING YEAR ONE
Celebrating its first year in business, Rawly Bold created a photoshoot campaign displaying it’s new collection worn by women who embody the brand. I was honored to be chosen to be participate in the project.
For this campaign real women, not models (well besides me) were chosen. We were all different from background to foreground, each on our separate journey. After getting to know each “model”, I learned that we all were are indeed Rawly Bold. From artist to entrepreneurs, it was evident that somewhere along our journey we each made the decision to start taking charge and manifesting change we’ve want to see.
It was the most amazing time creating with these women. The most friendly and fierce some bunch, that I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m telling you, there’s just something about being amongst a room of girl bosses that just makes you want to be Rawly Bold.
