Coconut Oil for Smooth Even Skin

After a long day I look forward to tying my hair up, getting into my comfies, removing my makeup, and massaging raw coconut oil all over my face just before I head to bed. Besides the relaxing aroma, there are a ton of benefits to adding a coconut oil mask to your daily skin care regimen...

Maintains smooth moisturized skin

Saturated Fats or triglycerides in coconut oil helps retain the moisture in the skin by fighting moisture loss through the pores.

Protects skin from infections

Fatty acids, caprice, caprylic, and lauric acid are strong disinfectants and have antimicrobial properties that protects the skin from microbial infections that can enter the body through wounds and pores.

Repairs and Tones Skin

Vitamin E keeps skin smooth and protected against cracking, premature aging, and wrinkling of the skin due to its antioxidant properties.  It also repairs the skin from its daily wear and tear and tones it, leaving a glowing complexion and promoting healthy skin growth.

I apply this mask every night and I'm loving my results. This picture is a little up close and personal but this is after about a week of using the mask. It has really help even my skin tone and fight the little bits of acne I do get every once in a while. I barely use foundation these days!

If you have been experiencing some acne I definitely suggest you try this mask for a couple of days. If you want to give the mask a little kick to help fight a more severe case of acne I recommend adding about two to three drops of tea tree oil to your mask as it is an effective antimicrobial agent.
