I was scrolling through my Instagram and I came across a post that asked: How do you practice self care? Such a thought provoking question right?
Here's my answer:
I practice self care by listening to my body, mind, and spirit. When I finally turn my mind off I know exactly what I need to do to nourish my soul, whether it's deep conditioning my hair, skin masks, painting my nails, burning incense, drinking tea, sleeping or crying in the tub. My journal, quality time with myself, and girl friends are my tools to get out of my constant mind chatter and know what I need to do to for myself in that moment so I can push through the next.
